Time: 12:45 p.m.-2:45 p.m. – Regency B

Podcasts, YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, and blogs make it easy to create and share content with others and to access content created by others. In this session, we’ll look at ways “Web 2.0″ technologies are being integrated into SIM professional development and provide tips on enhancing your own presentations and communications using social media. Bring your laptop for hands-on activities!

If there’s anything in particular you want us to talk about or explain in this session, please let us know via a comment on this page. We’ll do our best to cover everything!

I’ve tried to embrace Web 2.0. I use Twitter to share new goings on at the Kansas Coaching Project and to get good ideas and resources. I’ve got a Facebook page, but I use that mostly for social stuff. We’ve created the BigFourning as a way to share resources and get new ideas, and I write a blog on the NSDC site. A lot of good has come out of this social networking. I’ve made some friends, and learned a ton about what people are doing in classrooms.
