As you make your arrangements for the conference this summer, we want to make you aware of the Lawrence public transit system, called the “T.” The buses are in operation from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and you can download a complete bus schedule here. For those interested in getting from the conference hotel to downtown Lawrence, we recommend taking the Route 3 bus, which is a direct route. From downtown, you can get just about anywhere else in the city.

Speaking of travel, it’s probably also worth mentioning the construction going on along I-70 in Lawrence. There have been closures of the East and West Lawrence exit ramps from time to time, though I think the West exit (leading to the Holiday Inn) is pretty much done. Does anyone know what will be going on construction-wise come conference time?

Good point, Aaron! I’ll keep my eyes open for more information, but here is the website with some recent updates:

If anyone else has information to share, please feel free to pass it along.

Just to follow up on this–I’m about 95% sure the construction work will be complete at the East Lawrence interchange well before the conference. I think I saw that the work would take about two weeks and they started about a week ago.
